Code Formatting

I shall apologise in advance if I am being excessively picky - and ignore me if the solution is time consuming.

I find that the code box is occasionally very narrow, example here (second code part, I'm using FF)

Perhaps its just me.

Also, is it possible to not show the scroll bar when they are not needed or is this a VBulletin thing?

As I say, I'm picky :ouch:

No, I like picky :)

By "narrow", I assume you mean "short" and if so I agree. Looking for a solution to that now.

OK, that is a bug in vB which I have just reported. The box should be showing a maximum of 30 lines but is stuck at just 9.

Thanks David,

I just came in to ask if it could be changed from it's current setting

I even have this on my clipboard :-

just to demonstrate

I was also wondering if the setting was in a .css file that I could change locally.

:)

30 lines would be nice.

The new board is a great improvement .. thanks for the update.

I'm afraid not, the CSS height value is generated on the fly based on the vB configuration settings and then written as an in-line style when the page is generated so using your own CSS override won't work.

I'm afraid it's a temporary annoyance but it will be resolved.

I've implemented a temporary fix for this issue and I think the height I've set is about right. Once a proper fix is implemented by vB, I'll revert to that but for now, this should work fine.

Much better.

It looks like the side to side slider is there to stay no mater how wide the code is.

Thanks! -David
