shift1313 Posted August 26, 2010 Share Posted August 26, 2010 You can make the core and case as a multibody part file. There is an option to create assembly that way. It may save you a little time and allow you to make use of geometry from the other part if needed. The way you stated is fine though. shift1313 Posted August 26, 2010 Share Posted August 26, 2010 When you are making a new feature, say an extrude, you have the options to add, subtract or intersect this new feature. Below that is a 4th option to create a new solid. When you are dealing with multiple bodies you will also be able to select certain solids to join with if your new feature interesects more than one.
