i am unable to open a properties box. the command line shows propertiesopen or propertiesclosed, but i cannot see the box

Try to press ctrl+1. Does it open?

 

This is a known issue, and as far as i know you might have to reinstall Autocad to get rid of the problem.

Is it perhaps openeing on another screen? Have you had two monitors before?

It is probably autohiding just off to the side frame of the screen. I had that happen to me and I just didn't notice it. But then I am prone to having senior moments at times.:oops:
