I am new user of Inventor (Inv.8 few days ago) and I notice that the UCS
indicator in Isometric view (pressing F6), the XY plane is in vertical position
and Z coordinate is pointing toward the user.
It might be a default..I don't know.
Can this be change? I want it to be like the default in Autocad (I'm using 2004)
where the XY plane is in the horizontal position and Z is pointing up.
I know that there is a rotation command in Inventor but I want it to default same as Autocad.
Can you tell me. Thank you.

Hi there i dont think it can be changed, but can i add that in Inventor the UCS indicator is not needed like you use it in autocad.

In time you wont even look at the Indicator as you will moving around with speed and you will know where you are and what your doing without looking at the UCS

I suggest Turning OFF the UCS indicator TOOLS>APPLICATION OPTIONS>SKETCH and under Display UNTICK COORDINATE SYSTEM INDICATOR

Even if you are new to Inventor, after 2 days learning the USC could be turned OFF.

You keep control from the sketch to the model and from the model you know what plane your on because you rotate the model and select a plane to sketch on.
