Guest Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I am giving ribbons a fair shot in 2010 Auto CAD. When I have ribbons minmized to panel titles, is there a way to make it so that I have to click on the title to open the menu? The hover over opening of the menus is really irritating? Any thoughts? Thanks. Quote
Rob S Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Why you dont put them on ´Show full ribbon´? No problems with hovering there. Quote
Guest Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 For me the ribbons take up valuble realistate, for drawing space. There is a large and obnoxious ammount of space that it takes up. Quote
BlackBox Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Have you tried undocking the ribbon, and anchoring it to the left or right? Also, you can turn off tool tips, by going into the AutoCAD Options (._options command), on the display tab, deselect the 'Show ToolTips' box, and hit OK. Hope this helps! Quote
Guest Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Haha, guess I need to play with things a bit more. I did not realize that it was possible to undock the ribbons, wich I think may work out okay. Thanks for the suggestion. Only time will tell. Only thing is that I just got a new job, and I will be stepping back to ACAD 2008, after trial by fire with ACAD 2010. Quote
BlackBox Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 You're welcome. Certainly stepping back to 2008 will be an adjustment, but it could be worse... you could be stepping back from Civil 3D to Land Desktop. Good luck on your new job! Quote
