Hello,

Has anyone encountered this weird anomaly in AutoCAD 2008: a draw a line, and as soon as I zoom in/out or pan, the line disappears. I have my visualstyle set to 3D wireframe, and the only other visualstyle in which my lines re-appear is 2D wireframe.

Can anyone make sense out of this?

Set your visual style to 2D wireframe and leave there until there is a good reason not to.

Well, there is. A lot of my lines are colored black (they need to be for printing purposes) and they can't be seen against the black background of the 2D wireframe.

Huh??? White lines will print black.... There is no need to specify "black" when drafting

When you have a black background the lines should be white and v's versa. You should not have to change the line colour to do this! It will still print out OK as if the line colour is black.

Even in CTBs you can plot to any color (which includes black and white) regardless of the screen color (layer color bylayer).

They don't print in black for some reason. I made them white, set the visualstyle to 2D wireframe, and printed, and I couldn't see the white lines.

Start by checking your CTB settings (Plot style table editor)
