Area and Centre of Gravity to spreadsheet

I have the following problem.

I want to create a 2D profile that when extruded has to have a specific weight and centre of gravity.

I want to create the profile as a spreadsheet driven part. What I then need is to output back to the spreadsheet the profile's area and its centre of gravity.

This will allow me to calculate the Modulus and other details for the profile.

Is this possible in inventor ?

Also if I'm not sure of some of the dimensions I was going to write an excel macro to iterate the dimensions until it found the combination of dimensions that gave the correct weight and strength. To do this I need to alter a dimension, send this to inventor to draw, get the area etc back onto the spreadsheet to do the final calculations.

Does anyone know if this is possible ?

is this a simple profile thats easily calculated? Like a circle or rectangle? Is the extruded distance fixed or is that also variable? Are you changing materials or is that fixed?

Unfortunately no, it is not a simple profile, I could given enough time matmatically calulate the area, but the centre of gravity I'm not sure that is possible.

TBH its only the 2d shape I'm interested in, the extruded distance will therefore be set.

Fixed material, steel.
