Ploting gray random lines

Recommended Posts

hello again :) I am plotting a 2d plan to pdf, and when it comes out in adobe reader, the lines in the drawing are random, some of them will be solid, nice black, but some of them will just be gray. Unless I really zoom in the lines seam to apear black, but when I zoom out to 30.4% when I can see the full page the lines are random, I checked the lines and they are no different from each other, same layer, same lineweight, style, colour, in plot settings I have set it to monochrome. I have already posted this earlier, but this time I have atached the file so that you can have a look, and hopefully I can finaly understand why this is happening. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated :unsure:Plotting problem.pdf

Does the print plot out for you incorrectly? Or is it just the pdf?

Viewed from a zoom level that lets me see the whole drawing, it appears to have grey lines. Zoom up more closely, and they look black. It may be nothing more than a graphics card issue. Have you tried printing the drawing on paper to see if it comes out right?

This is just how adobe treats lines and points that are too thin to be 1 pixel on your screen. Like the last 2 guys said. Print the drawing and you will soon discover if you even have a problem.

Hi, I don't think it is the plotter issue, because when I preview it it looks fine, all the lines look black, so I think it is the adobe reader. Jack_O'Neill I have't printed this jet, but I remember working with the rest of the projects and when printed on A1 size the lines do appear grey. I am working on an iMac 24 that has partition of windows 32 bit XP, yes that is what I thought regarding to line thickness, so I selected the lines and made them thicker, still they came out grey. I really cant find the solution for this, fingers crossed this one will look better. Thanks for your responses everyone :)
