vertical horizons
Somehow, I must have changed a setting. I open a new .IPT. I draw a line on the origin. When I attempt to dimension the line, the end of the line that WAS on the origin moves off of the origin. I thought I had my coincident setting set correctly. What am I doing wrong? Most likely your line that appeared to be snapped onto the origin is a soft snap. I think JD's tutorial docs explain hard and soft snap. Hard snap is constraint, soft snap is not. Reason for soft snap is there is nothing there to constrain to. Need to project geometry every time you start sketch, or apply the auto setting that JD recommends. Best, David. vertical horizons
Tools>Application Options>Sketch tab - Autoproject origin. Thanks. I took a look at my settings, and sure enough, AUTOPROJECT ORIGIN was not checked. This forum is great. Thanks again.
