In this space, I have many walls like the column and the wall you can see in this picture. I want the walls to be wrapped with limestone tile.
I created my own bitmap, but it looks not good. The big questions is: When one direction can show the tiles, another direction just shows flood. It is easy to attach material to a single flat surface, but what shall I do to deal with the 3d solid in several different directions.
They are individual solid but in one layer.
I attach this image copied from screen, hope you can understand my problem.

Thanks, Everybody!

Sorry, I cannot put a picture on.

This tutorial may help a little http://www.cadtutor.net/acad/acad2ki/bitmat/bitmat.html but the crux of your problem is to do with mapping.

You can change the mapping of any object using View>Render>Mapping... however, AutoCAD has only 4 mapping options, Planar, Cylindrical, Spherical and Solid. Fortunately, these cover the most common requirements. The default mapping mode is always Planar so try changing the columns to Cylindrical and the walls to Solid - you should see an improvement.

Thanks Tutor and Fuccaro. Attach an image, that's so cool!
My previous way is bump map done in 2d hatch VS color/pattern. I will try a real bitmap.
