Orbit,
My company has tried many different types. One day we switch about 5 different cards. the best we found and keep it was a radeon 8500. Now they probolly have a 9600 version. This one created the best smooth graphics out of any one we tried. Two thumbs up dued!!!

I always used to use Matrox cards and had no problem with them - the dualhead thing was great. But the new Parhalia cards are just too expensive so I've moved to ATI Radeon cards. The Hydravision is almost as good as DualHead and I've found them to be excellent value for money. Also, no obvious problems with AutoCAD and rendered images seem good.

I have heard from more than one source that ATI's openGL drivers are not the best out there. One source is my favorite 3d app, sketchup. The home company in fact says to stay away from them and to use nVidia based ones instead. I have not used an ATI for a while and cannot comment on them but nVidia ones seem very nice. I got a budget GeForce 4 MX 440 for my home system a few months ago and it has been very nice. My Matrox G450 at work is still running like a clock for almost 3 years now. Good luck! :)
