skenderbender17 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I am working on a building where the second floor is 10' above the first. I want to put some risers for the stairs in there evenly spaced. I know that there is a command that allows you to click the bottom floor line and then the top floor line. Once there it'll ask you if you know how many spaces you want or how many lines you want. You pick the one that you want and it'll fill in the space accordingly for you. Does anyone know the command that does this? I hope that it made sense, and if it doesn't please ask me. Thank you! Quote
nestly Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I'm pretty sure what you described isn't in vanilla AutoCAD, perhaps it was a vertical version or a stair lisp? You can certainly accomplish the same thing with DIVIDE, MEASURE, ARRAY and COPY commands, but not as an automatic process. Quote
skenderbender17 Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Its not just for the stairs, you can do it for any lines. I was just using the stairs as an example. i know of the other commands but I know there is another command that does this I just can't remember what it was. thanks though! Quote
ReMark Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Perhaps you are thinking of another program (an AutoDesk vertical) or a lisp routine? Quote
skenderbender17 Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 No it was in AutoCAD, cause at this firm right now we only use(d) AutoCAD. Its all good no worries. thanks guys Quote
