Sphere and a combined part draw

Hi guys, i need to draw this item(attached). I tried a lot but could not get succeed. I am very new to the Inventor as our company recently introduces this software. firs of all i could not make a sphere. i m using Inventor 2010. then i could not draw two solids in the same part. please help me. if possible with any video representation or detailed literature. Please help.

Revolve is made is a quarter section, not half, without seeing your files, that is probably your issue there.

 

To make a second solid body and then Boolean it with the first you would use the New Solid option found in most dialog boxes for your second feature.

 

After you have two solids, use Combine to Boolean them.

 

Then invest in training. If you are just picking up this software and have not had at least an intro class or someone set up CAD standards with it you are going to working VERY ineffectively.

Hi guys. thanks for ur comments. @ Mr. Mather.the file was really helpful. thanks a lot for sharing. @Mark, yeah i desperately need a detailed training. actually what happens, after introducing Inventor my company give us only a week of basic training. thats why i am facing problem. though i m trying to learn from any resource available on the net. thanks once again.

Do you have the actual part or something similar that you could photograph? I fudged the part as there seemed to be missing dimensions or incorrect views in the 2D drawing you posted.

Hi JD, i do not have any photograph as these is the new item going to add with old one. actually it is going to be used as a cap of an exposed part. means extended parts will be inserted in the groove of this part and welded. but it should be like the image you attached in previous post. there may be some dimension mismatch or wrong dimension. i need to correct it. thanks for your support.
