skenderbender17 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I am trying to dimensions in my drawings, but they are taking a long time to load the command and then to do the command. Any ideas on why this is and how I can change it? Quote
SuperCAD Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 My first guess would be a faster computer with more processing power, but I don't know what you currently have so I can't tell you if that will fix it or not. Quote
irneb Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Maybe this could alleviate some speed issues. Try doing a command line purge by prefixing the command with a minus sign: i.e. type -PURGE Then purge the RegApps. Quote
ReMark Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Maybe your computer is searching for a particular text style to be used with your dimensions and is having a difficult time locating the font. Quote
skenderbender17 Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 Thanks, But none of that worked. I know that my computer is fast enough. I just have a dimensioning problems on a couple drawings that I open. It seems to be if they were opened on 2008 and I'm using 2009 there is an issue. Quote

This was always making drawings go slow like molasses - you had to clean up the scale list which could run into 10,000's and could even make ACad crash. Try the command line version (note minus sign prefix) -ScaleListEdit and then use it's Reset option. That's the quickest way to get rid of the unwanted scales. Quote
