Hi,

I have a new logo saved as a .PNG and a .JPEG file. Is there a way to convert it to an AutoCad LT 2005 entity?

Also, when I try to copy and paste it into other drawings with the same sized format it always comes over too large. Is there a way to set the scale before I import it?

I tried saving it as a block but Autocad does not recognize it.
Thanks

Ernie

Does your version of ACAD have Image Manager? If so, try that.

Or use something under the insert menu...like Insert OLE Object or Raster image.

Can you trace the logo? if it is a simple one it worth the effort to vectorise it. It vill result a much smaller file and more accurate.
But it depends on the logo and ... your patience. Sadly, some complicated images are not suitable for vectorising.
Just my opinion...

Thanks for your help. You guys are GREAT!

In AutoCad 2006 Full Version, I found that I could copy and paste the logo from Adobe Photoshop.

In AutoCad 2005 LT I can insert it using "INSERT - OLE Object".

If I want to change the logo when I am updating drawings I have to copy and paste the entire lower left corner of the drawings format off to the side of the new drawings format. Then I just "MOVE" the logo in place.

If I copy and paste just the transparent .PNG format logo into another drawing I have to scale it down. A scale of .137 works fine.

Thanks Again
