Jack_O'neill Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 (edited) Your problem is being caused by a feature called "dynamic input". If you notice, when you enter your coordinates, the numbers appear in a little box on at the crosshairs. When dynamic input is turned on, it defaults to relative polar coordinates, where you are accustomed to using absolute coordinates. There are two ways to solve your problem. If you wish to leave dynamic input turned on, you can enter a # in front of the coordinate. Otherwise, the F12 key will turn dynamic input off and it will work like you are used to. There is also a button on the status bar at the bottom that will turn it off. Looks like a + with a little rectangle in the lower left quadrant. Why autodesk decided to depart from the norm and make dynamic input work backwards, I don't know. I too was accustomed to entering absolute coordinates and using the @ to enter a polar cooridinate. Maybe more people do it the other way round, who knows. I almost forgot...you can set the dynamic input to work the way you want. Right click on that button on the status bar I was talking about, then click on settings and you can configure it in a dialog called "Drafting Settings". BIGAL Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 hey a better way this was suggested by AlanJt a while ago if you have your co-ords in a txt file just copy them, then do "LINE" then "paste" ctrl V all values go in one go realy simple and it works ! No typos. Quote
