gargoyle27 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) i'm not sure how else to describe it, it's supposed to be burned out and will be going in a window, as it sits the areas are about 1.5" wide, but the customer wants them to be more like 0.5" wide, and i don't know how to do it with out it looking really weird i'd attach the design but even zipped it's about 305 kb, i can email it to someone if they can help tho, here's the jpg to give you an idea, hopefully it will clear up what i mean (i know my description is terrible) oh and i'm using AutoCAD Mechanical 2009 Edited December 14, 2010 by gargoyle27 Quote
JPlanera Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 scale the entire thing by .333. does the over all length need to be the same? If so, you can just copy the design a couple more times to make it longer Quote
gargoyle27 Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 yeah, forgot to mention that, the OA height and width need to stay the same Quote
JPlanera Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Then this will work perfectly. try following along with this VERY crude demonstration... http://screencast.com/t/bn1fC4JKWm Quote
JPlanera Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 On further inspection..... You stated in your original post that the "width" needed to change. then you said the OAL and width stay the same... which one is it? Quote
gargoyle27 Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 both, what i do need changed is the webs, if that's the right word, do you know what i mean? it's supposed to go in a window so i think they want more light to come in Quote
JPlanera Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Im afraid i dont know what you mean then... Ill send you my email through PM Quote
