I'm using Autocad 2007. I've created an atrribute block, and when I double-click it I want the ATTEDIT dialog box to open. I went into the CUI and changed the double click option to ATTEDIT, which i've done before and worked fine. For some reason this time when i double click the block, it starts the attedit command, but in the command line it asks me to select block. So it's actually works, but i have to do the double click and then another single click on the block to bring the atttedit dialog box up. Is there a setvar or something that i need to change so the the dialog box pops up after the double-click and don't need to select the block again for it. Thx for the help. Also this is the first computer i installed it on with windows 7, running in compatibility mode, that may be the problem. Any Advice appreciated.

Thanks

Things likely have changed since my copy of r14 but ATTEDIT is the command line edit and DDATTE is the dialog edit. Might this be the problem/solution?

Try changing the value of DBLCLKEDIT, settings are 1 or 0. Change that at the command line and then try doubleclicking on the block again.

Thanks for the advice, but nothing seems to work yet. I'll keep trying.

Go into the CUI and copy the macro for doubleclicking on a attribute block, then post that here.

I didn't see this in any of the responses, but did you make sure "Double Click Editing" is checked under OPTIONS > User Preferences?

...AND I just realized this was posted in 2011. Never mind.
