I have just upgraded to AutoCAD 2010. When I open an existing drawing my blocks, including my dynamic ones, have been exploded and or reduce to individual entities.

For example I have a block that I can use different visibility states in and it has been left at the state shown in the drawing as individual entities. My multi line texts have all been shifted out of position. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix this?

Thanks, It is driving been insane.:?

Was your SaveFidelity set to 1 in your older ACad? I've had similar problems but the other way round (2011 DWG saved as to 2007 and opened in 2008 - where some DB's became normal blocks). Haven't seen this the way you've found though, is there maybe some customization which explodes the blocks?

I will have to restore my ghost to check it as I have never played the Savefidelity. I have been looking for some type of customization but will keep looking. For now I will just have to replace everything. Thanks for replying.

Maybe you have the Insert command set up to explode your blocks upon insertion. Did you check?

Unfortunately the problem is not with inserting the blocks but that the blocks have been altered in existing drawings when they are opened in in AutoCAD 2010. But thanks for the feedback.

Could you be a little more descriptive or post an example? Is it any block or just dynamic blocks? Is it just visibility states or look-up?

I see you are using Arch, do you have all of the Object Enablers?
