chimp
Hi, I am fairly new to the Inventor scene but love it and am desperate to learn more techniques. I have drawn a number of obscure shapes from drawings but i am looking at how to draw a couple of shapes but to be honest i don't know how to start to mearue the odd curves in shapes, can someone please offer me some assistance on the principles of where to start with such shapes. I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks Andy
JD Mather
You can find a shaver in the samples and see how it was done. Here are some (old) tutorials - #11 is new http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/content/DSG322/inventor_surface_tutorials.htm
shift1313
If you go to the link in my sig and to the downloads section you can download a pdf for drawing a computer speaker. This is for solidworks but you can look through some of the curve creations and operations and maybe get an understanding. Also on another forum(also for solidworks) there is one post with tons of great tips for modeling bottle features. http://www.productdesignforums.com/index.php?showtopic=10168
