Does anyone reckon it would stupid to have AutoCAD 2000 & 2004 on the same hard drive?I'm just wondering whether having both versions on a PC would cause any problems?I understand that running both versions at the same time would likely cause problems, but if I started them independantly would there be any other issues?Maybe Im just being too greedy, but it would be dream to be able to have both, also whether I can afford it too!

I have run a beta version of 2004 on a PC with 2000 installed and there didn't seem to be any problem. There was a problem with 2000i and other versions of AutoCAD but as far as I'm aware, 2000 and 2004 will work on the same PC.

They will play very nice together. True, there was problems with say 2000i and 2002 but 2004 and other versions have no trouble what so ever.
I have yet to have any problems.

I have used 2002, 2004 and 2006 at the same time, and i've had no problems.
I still use 2002 because i have some third party software that does not work on later issues, and till now it's working fine.
