biffish Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I know this doesn't have to do with 'AutoCAD general', but I didn't see where else to post this & maybe get some help. I have to a storm water pond and the engineer wants the contours to be 1.5':1'. How much do I offset per new contour? Title should be "Offsetting Pond Contours" whoopsie. Quote
BlackBox Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I'm not sure of the standard contours you typically show (i.e., Top of Bank, Grade breaks, Toe of Slope, etc.), but the math is the same, regardless. The only thing that has changed is the slope. For example: If you were to offset the Top of Bank at 2:1 to a grade break which is 10' below the Top of Bank elevation, then 2 * 10 = 20' offset. Again the math is the same, simply change your multiplier. Hope this helps! Quote
biffish Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 It does thank you so much! I think I was just over-thinking it. Quote
