cso Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 In my class I have to set up an office. I was looking for desk, chair, telephone, etc dynamic blocks in the tool Palette section. I can't seem to find any. Do I have to go to a google search to find these types of standard blocks (are they standard?) or are they located somewhere else? Or, do I have to make them myself?! I am using the student version of Civil 2011; is that why I don't have many choices for these items? I can download the student architectural version. I don't mind and enjoy trying to make these myself, but I thought a little of both would be good practice too! Quote
ReMark Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 You're looking for office furniture in Civil 2011? Hmmm...I don't think you'll have a lot of luck. Try here. Scroll down to the Furniture category. http://www.draftsperson.net/index.php?title=Draftsperson.net:Free_AutoCAD_Blocks Quote
cso Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 I think you are right. I am going to download the architecture version and see what that has. Thanks for the link for the blocks. I'm not sure what exactly I want (3d office), so I may just dive into it and see what I can do. I'd like my desks and chairs to look real, but that is going to take some time and learning. Quote
ReMark Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 The blocks I gave you the link for are 2D not 3D sorry. You can try over at the CAD Block Exchange Network for 3D blocks. Quote
ReMark Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) Draw them yourself maybe? :lol:You're kidding, right? Sorry Dink, I couldn't resist my inner urge to laugh. Very unmachine-like of me. Edited February 23, 2011 by ReMark Quote
SLW210 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Draw them yourself maybe? Is that even possible? If so, that would be a brilliant idea. Quote
cso Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Lol, Ok that is what I am going to do! They may not be as pretty as "store bought" blocks, but they will be mine! Quote
ReMark Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Lol, Ok that is what I am going to do! They may not be as pretty as "store bought" blocks, but they will be mine! At the very least it is good practice. You might try over at the CADforum (one must sign up first however). Talk to my friend John Connor over there. If he responds tell him I said "I'll be back!" He'll know what I'm talking about. LOL Quote
