waxe Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Lads, I have small difficulty with my new Acad 2011. I have just installed Trial Version of 2011. I am trying (in Options Menu) to switch from Imperial Units (Default Scale List) to Metric. When I do it, scales are coming back automaticaly to Imperial ones . Is it an issue of Trial Version? Please help. Cheers! Pete Quote
ReMark Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Are you using a metric template like acadiso.dwt for example? Quote
waxe Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Yes, I do. I have started from basic acad.dwt with metric units. Quote
ReMark Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I believe the acad.dwt template comes in with imperial scales as the default with a handful of what appear to be metric. The template I mention does not include imperial scales at all. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Try Options>User Preferences>Initial Setup and use the wizard, when asked for a template to use select one of the ISO. Quote
waxe Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 ReMark: well, I have even copied my own *.dwt from 2006 version with Metrics (the one I have my title blocks, line types, dims types, etc.) , still doesn't work. SLW: Sorry, doesn't work.. Thanks anyway. For now I insert figures i.e 0.001-->1:100. Cheers! p Quote
ReMark Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Attach your template and let one of us, who has 2011, have a go at it. Quote
BIGAL Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Easier way is alter the properties of your autocad desktop icon where it says /p "imperial" to /p "metric" this loads the metric profile straight away. Quote
