2002 - 2000LT differences

I have recently changed from 2000LT to 2002, and am finding certain restrictions, which I beleive are due to my settings.

1. The layer tool on the object properties tool bar does not apear to work. eg. I cannot change a line (or any properties) from one layer to another using the object properties tool bar but I can change it (or any other properties) using the properties box????????

2. The delete key does not delete - I have to erase??

I would be very grateful if you could assist me as these little things can be very anoying and I am find my self switching between Lt and 2002 - not good.

You could always just reinstall 2002,though there must be a simpler alternative.This might be useful for you as youve just got CAD2002:
