Show yourself thread error

David,

In new posts the "show yourself" thread is showing a new post. I can get to the first page but trying to access any other page produces the following error.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /forum/showthread.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

(just to let you know)

I get the same. Looking at it, the problem is with the thread title and specifically the "....." in it. As it used to work I imagine a PHP global variable is different on the new server and is stopping it working. You can access the latest page (or any page) of that thread by going to http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?8969-Okay-the-quot-Show-Yourself-quot-thread/page56 (i.e. removing the ..... from the hyperlink).

Thanks Dave. The culprit was all the dots in the thread title. I've removed them and it's now working. As part of the new security regime on this server, suspicious characters or character combinations in URLs will throw a Forbidden error. I don't envisage this being a common occurrence but I'd rather be safe and have to edit a thread title once in a while than go through all that grief again.

I don't blame you a bit - and thanks for the fix.:)

Thread title renamed, now OK.

Just an update on this issue. It is a recognised bug in vBulletin and is currently due for fixing in the next release.
