Template help

Hi guys, I'm plodding along with my template at work when time allows! I have just saved an initial copy as a dwt file. When I open it none of the layers I made are saved except the ones used. How do you save a layer to a dwt template file, as I need the same colours/lineweights each time.

Also when I open my dwt file I have the tabs -

model, layout 1, layout 2, A2

I just want the model and A2 tab, so why do the others open as I have not made them.

I have attached a dwg of the initial template for your reference.

Thanks for any help!

Did you delete layout1 and layout2 before saving as .dwt? The layers will disappear if you are purging, maybe as part of a save routine? Otherwise the layers will always be there.

Yes in the .dwg that I originally made them in there was just model and A1 template, no extra paperspaces.

Would saving from a .dwg to a .dwt do this? Where do I find whats purging.

just delete the not wanted lay outs and then save again as DWT should sort it ,well it did for me once saved re opened and the layers had gone ?

? you ask how to save as template dwt well just select it in the drop down menu when saving template.dwg

you cant add a dwt here so you will have to do it your self m8
