Adobe have just announced a new product that will have interest for AutoCAD users - Acrobat 3D. Essentially, Adobe want to bring the simplicity and open nature of their 2D Acrobat format to the world of 3D CAD, see details here (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat3d/main.html) and check out Autodesk's response (http://www.augi.com/publications/hotnews.asp?id=1096) - naturally, they see it as a threat to their DWF format.
