2008 Autocad Sheet Set Publishing question...

Recommended Posts

Posted

Wheather or not I open a drawing through the sheet set manager or already have it open; when I Publish a page(s) the dwg will re-open as read only then publish the selected pages. Having this happen I must remember to save the drawing before I publish any pages.

Is there a setting to apply so the sheet set manager knows the drawing file is currently open, to avoid going through the loading time of reopening an already open drawing?

I think what you ask will not be able to be done as you are effectively opening the drawing twice. The Publisher part as I see it (I could be wrong) is like a macro that manipulates autocad to do what you ask. If the drawing is already open in autocad then when Publisher tries to use autocad to open the file you will now have it open twice.
