gotchy Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Will someone please tell me how to get to the classic view in Autocad 2007. Even though I have it selected, I still have the 3-d Drawing area with the tilted grid. Thank you, reggy Quote
ReMark Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 You should be starting any new drawing with the acad.dwt template. It sounds as though you may be using a 3D template instead. What is QNEW set to? Quote
reggy Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 ReMark, Thank you for your response. I'm afraid you are way over my head here. I am a newbie to Autocad.I don't know what that command represents, and I am assuming that the first mention is that of a template file, however I don't know how to activate or change it. reggy Quote
ReMark Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 When you start a new drawing does a window appear with a list of template files such as acad.dwt, acadiso.dwt, etc.? Quote
gotchy Posted May 2, 2011 Author Posted May 2, 2011 When you start a new drawing does a window appear with a list of template files such as acad.dwt, acadiso.dwt, etc.? Now it does. I do have an instance of 2007 installed on my notebook that works OK. I copied all the loose files in the install directory to a jump-drive and I overwrote them and copied them to the folder in my desktop installation that was giving me trouble and it seems to work ok now. It must have overwritten the template files that needed to be for classic view. Thank you for your response. reggy Quote
