Hi,

I wanted to know if I can embed a .JPG (or other formats) in AutoCad? As of now the images are linked to locations and this creates problems with document control, keeping links etc.

I tried selecting “no path” when inserting raster image but it didn’t work.

Thank you.

I use a simple copy & paste from a photo editor.

What photo editor do you use? How does this work? Any details are greatly appreciated.

I just use Paint, but any will work.

How exactly? Do you copy the image while it is open in paint?

Open the image in paint, photoshop etc..

You may have to select all (Ctrl-a) and then copy (Ctrl-c)

Go to Autocad just paste(Ctrl-v) and your done.

It didn’t work from paint but it copied it from Photo Shop. The only problem is that when copied the image is stretched/distorted. Some OLE font sizing that I don’t understand exactly. I couldn’t find a way to correct the distorted image. Do you have any suggestions?

This time it worked. I had to use “Paste Special” >”Image Entity” but it works and it saved me from going mad.

Thanks all.
