ThrashMetal Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 are you asking if the structural concept is correct or if the presentation is correct? to me, lineweights or your alphabet of line usage is to your own disgression, i saw you pdf files and i think its up to you on how to label it, dimension it, and title it. its the content and details your clients will look at, and thats the important thing. one comment though on you last pdf file, you titled it connection details and above are the drawings but it does not say where those connections are, like, what we do is mark the area you want to detail on plan and designate that as, say, "spot detail A" or "see connection details". for the bar diameter it would not be presented as hidden lines, it will still be a continuous one. and finally what we do with bar diameters is present it with different line weights for different bar diameters, for example, 25mm dia. steel bar will have 40 as line weight and 10mm dia. steel bar will have 18, it looks realistic to us..lol... well i hope this made it on time and helped, ill try to attach a pdf of our previous structural details.. Cheesecake7 Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Thanks ThrashMetal for the tips You weren't late, still have about 15 hrs till it's due, I've updated the PDF's to my final draft, I'm going to bed so I'll check them tomorrow. I left the beam and slab reo dashed because this part of the assessment was about designing the vertical elements hence I want the reo for those elements to be prominent. Quote
