When you insert a screw from the content manager into your scene the tread shows up as a bitmap. Is there anyway the thread can show up as actual geometry and not a bitmap???

Don't think so, in IV7 at least. I'll check my classroom next door tomorrow, they have IV10.

You could do a coil with the correct triangualar profile and pitch. I'll show you this if you are unsure how to do it.
