The company I worked for until June 2011 used ProductStream that was customized and worked as a PLM. We had AutoCAD Mechanical and Inventor integrated into the system which worked well being that everything was from Autodesk.

BTW The company where I was employed used this program even before Autodesk required it from Cideon.
