Hello all (and David). I see a lot of mention of Photoshop here and there and I just want to give a link to all of our students and or home people that may not access to Photoshop a link to the Gimp. The Gimp is a professional graphical image program that is almost as powerful as Photoshop but it is completely free! It was written for Linux OSes but was ported over to Windows and Mac as well. I use it quite a bit and it is very good (espically for the price). Anyway just an FYI for everybody out there. Like I said good for those of us on a budget as well as a look at another tool to help us get the job done. Take care all.

Thanks for that F7. I'll definately be trying that out soon and if it's as good as you say, I'll introduce my students to it.

It is not perfect but not bad either. Make sure you get the most current releases. There used to be a bug in it that it would crash if you closed a file and did not save but that is gone. I use it on win2k pro with out a problem. Good for image creation and changes but I believe you'll need a another app to print with. I do not print with it though. But not bad to fix a few images to bring into AutoCAD as patterns. Good luck.
