4thorns Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I'd like to be able to insert a 2d window/door block and have it automatically be updated in a schedule based on the name I give it. If I delete a window or add a door I'd like the schedule to reflect it. Could someone point me in the right direction to find assistance. Edit: Primarily using 2011 LT. Got 2012 LT today. Thanks, Doug Quote
ReMark Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Sounds like something that could be accomplished using LISP but LT does not support that feature. Quote
BlackBox Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 A Visual LISP Reactor *should* do what you want... However, that requires that you upgrade to a full version of AutoCAD first. I know of no way to do this without programming. Not even a script or macro would be sufficient, given the level of automation implied in your original request. Quote
4thorns Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 Thanks guys. It appears that opting for LT is going to bite us again. We'd been using AutoCad 2002 forever and even with that we could use Express Tools. Came in handy for some of the stuff we were doing like automatic numbering. Handy little feature that we lost in LT....Now this. We got used to the automatic schedules because we also run Archicad. Their schedules work very well. Guess we'll have to buck up and upgrade to the full version of AutoCad. Thanks again, Doug Quote
BIGAL Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Dont use LT but are fields, dynamic blocks, and tables supported then it could be done. Quote
