Vmmoutinho Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Hi there, i hope you can help me! I have a drawing with several compartments. Each one should receive a diferent hatch, associeted with a water level, calculated in a specific scenario. There are 4 different scenarios, each one with 10 layers. In the beggining i thought in use the same layer to all hatches, changing the color properties for each hatch, but this will take a lot of time. There's a way to group this 10 layers in a bigger layer, then when a changed this bigger layer, all the hatches associeted with this group would automatically change !? If anyone has an idea , it's always welcome! Thanks ! Quote
designerstuart Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 there is no 'super layer' idea in AutoCAD, but there are ways to do what you want. i'm not totally sure what you want to do, but maybe layer filters will help? using this you can effectively 'group' layers together, although changing one will not change the others. BlackBox Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Consider adding a prefix to each of the ten layer names. For example, C1-*, C2-*, C3-*, C4-*, which would represent "Compartment" and then the number, followed by the layer name itself. Quote
