Hi everyone,

Just thought I should point you in the direction of an excellent little app (file?).

It rarely happens that you find exactly what you're looking for on the web. It's even rarer to find exactly what you're looking for and it turns out to be free, simple and works first time without a hitch. Well that's exactly what happened to me this week.

I've been working on a way to distribute CADTutor on CD-ROM. This is relatively straight forward but I wanted the web site to Autorun when the CD is put in the drive. Using Autorun.inf, I managed to get an explorer window to display but the user still had to click the index.html file to start the browser.

Now the whole thing works perfectly - put the CD in the slot and up pops the CADTutor site in a browser. This little miracle is brought to you by The Whirly Wiry Web. Check it out at http://www.whirlywiryweb.com/

If only life were this simple all the time! :)

Hey David,

What a fantastic little find that is. I've downloaded and already have a few ideas in mind. :D

What makes it even MORE useful is the ability to allow you to try to open different versions. For example: If the user does not have a browser installed, it will try to run a PDF, if no Acrobat it may try to run an SWF file, if no joy it can then display a simple text file.

Excellent find my good man... get's the Psmeg seal of approval.. ;)
