Hello!

I often draw with the command "band".

Is there a way to transform these objects into polylines or trace?

Apologies for the bad English!

Hello!

In German there is a command band. Similar to the multi-line command.

The band command is very useful and can be drawn with or without filling.

Depending on whether the filling is placed on one or out.

I wonder if there is such a Lisp to convert a tape into a polyline object already exists?

Greetings

Martin

Ps: Goggle translator is my friend

so:

In German there is the instruction tape. This distinguishes an object similar to the multi-line command. When you run the command, the bandwidth is queried, similar to the scale in multi line.

If one then draws a man receives a rectangular object.

The object is in Autocad band. This object can be stretched in all directions, etc. will not only offset.

Almost sounds like the polyline command using the width (band?) option. Fillmode would govern whether a polyline with an assigned width displays as being filled or not.

Yes similar. Only exist in German Auto Cad (think of this command is documented anywhere anymore, I did anyway) the band object.

The English command for the German command BAND is TRACE.

martinle: try entering the command _TRACE and it should show you what you get with BAND, don't forget the underscore (Unterstrich) before the command.

The Help states that the command has been "removed from the product", but BAND and _TRACE both work for me on my German language version of 2012.

As far as I know trace objects cannot be transformed int lines or polylines in AutoCAD, but I've not tried programmatically.

TRACE (BAND) produces a series of unconnected four cornered shapes of constant width and each of these shapes has a node on each corner. When adjacent shapes form an angle the resulting joint is mitred. In principle the coordinates of the end of each shape could be meaned to give the start and end point of a line, but you would have to do that programmatically.

The question is why on earth don't you use a polyline with a width? I can see noo advantage in using TRACE.

AutoCAD 2012:

Command: trace

Unknown command "TRACE". Press F1 for help.

Did they remove the command from version 2012 ?

Look for it in the Help (command Reference folder ) .

The command and system variable BAND TRACEWID were removed from the product.

summary

The endpoints of a strip lying on the center line and they will always be cut square. The command BAND automatically calculates the slope for each combination of adjacent segments. The individual segments are drawn, if you set either the next segment and press ENTER. Because the treatment of the bevels is no back-BAND Command option.

If the fill mode is enabled, bands are filled. If the fill mode is disabled, only the outline of the tape appears.
