Hi,

I'm looking for a block that contains the outline for the part in the lower right corner of architectural drawings (at least here in Europe) that contains the name of the architect, drawing number, scale, date etc. I'm not sure what that part is called so I don't know what to look for  Or if anyone knows where I can download such a block, that would be even better o:) Thanks!

cheers,

roel

by the sounds of it you're looking for a titleblock. The best thing to do is the draw one yourself for the specific information that you need to have on it and for the specific layout that you need. I have one for each of the standard paper sizes both in horizontal and vertical layouts.
The main things that you'll want on there are:
Date:
Drawn By:
Checked By:
Date:
Drawing Number:
Project Title:
Client:
Drawing Title:
Revision Number:
Revision Date:
Hope this helped.

I agree with Good_m; if your company doesn't have a title date block draw it yourself. It will be a good practice for you.
Create attributes for the date, drawing scale and so on. Draw the lines and save or wblock the drawing in a safe place. Insert it in your futurer works.
Post again if you ned more help-for sure someone will answer you.
Good luck!

Thanks a lot guys, google'ing for 'title block' took me to -amongst others- http://www.mossdesigns.com/ADT2005titleblock.pdf, which I'll try out when I get home tonight. I'll draw my own to match the one on the drawings my architect gave me, I remembered from my autocad lessons in highschool that they used to have standards on what size etc. the title block had to be but I guess that was just something they decided for the school. I may even see if I can find an email address of my old teacher and send him a mail

fuccaro: in my dayjob I'm a programmer - I'm using autocad at home to do some drawings for the remodeling of our home so unfortunately I can't fall back on a company-made block library

Thanks!
