Is there a way to have my overscale for my dim scale,so that it associates to the exact scale of my viewport.I usually have one viewport,so if my dim scale would be automatically set to that of my paper space viewport it'd be great help.Maybe I'm expecting to much from this program, just thought I'd see though.I suppose I could have them all already configured in my templates?

I use only standard scale for my viewports. If I have more viewports at different scales on the same layouts I create a copy of the dimstyle. If a viewport is at scale 1:1 and I have an other at scale 2:1 I create a dimstyle with the Dim scale overall set to 0.5 for this second one. So all my dimensions have the same aspect on the printed document. Do not forget to use relevant names for the new dimstyles.

So you have different dim scales already configured ,with individual names for each new viewport. It seems to me that I might be able to acheive this by way of a template.I could have my standard size sheets with a applicable dim scale for the viewport scale used in each. One of the most confusing things I found when I started off doing CAD work was formatting my text and linetypes :) .The first time I ever added text to a drawing I entered it and had to then reselect everything individually to change its height and style etc,it makes me cringe at the thought now! :D
