Hello
As I said in the other post I´m using AutoCAD2002 in a Sempron 2600+, 512 ram, FX5200 128Mb graphic card with Windows XP PRO SP2.

I´m not sure about the definition of my problem, but that´s what´s happening. Like in a game, when it "lags". The mouse lag´s and it becomes hard to work.

I´ve changed a few settings already, which should increase speed, such as:

AND

But it didn´t solve the problem.
I already tried to close all the WinXP process, but again... :(

Are there any other things I could do? Variables I could change?

Thanks!

Maybe the question we need to ask is, "What generally slows down a computer in the first place?"

You seem pretty knowledgeable so you've probably covered all the usual suspects like:

-fragmented hard drive
-too many temporary Internet files
-a history folder that is overflowing
-Windows updates residing in the system tray ready to be installed
-an anti-virus program running in the background
-other software running in the background
-a possible virus lurking in the background
-a generic mouse driver
-a virtual memory setting that is awry
-too many deleted files residing in an overflowing Recycle Bin

On the hardware side:

-a 5400 rpm EIDE drive
-haven't updated your graphics card drivers
-not enough physical RAM to deal with the images you are creating (Are you doing a lot of solid modeling/shading or working with huge CAD drawing files?)
-wrong CPU multiplier setting
-not enough "free space" on the old hard drive

Just taking some wild guesses here as there doesn't seem to be anything that really cries out for attention.
