I'm trying to add circled numbers to a table like I've seen on other drawings (printed). Can anyone tell me what font it is that has circled numbers for tagging? TIA!

No fonts like that, AFAIK -- either make a block, use TCIRCLE, or just draw the circle.

Tags are typically created as a block with the number being an attribute, this gives you the flixibility to use desired font style & size, one or more digits, etc.

You could use a Wingdings2 font; the letters i-s are circled numbers 0-10.

use TCIRCLE,

That's a new one on me! Is it an Express command. Is it text encompassed in a circle. That would be cool. -David

Well, I didn't know about the TCIRCLE command so thanks for that, I'll definatly use it in the future. The only thing is, none of those solutions will work within a table, and I want to use these in a reference column to reference tags on the plan. I've actually seen circles (which my boss likes) and triangles used in tables for this purpose. Thanks for the reply though, and for showing me a new (to me) command!

Thanks Carl. We must have been posting at the same time so I didn't see your post until I submitted my last one. The wingding font numbers don't look exactly like the ones I was told to find, but they just might do. I do tag objects in my drawings with blocks, and I'm going to try making the number an attribute as you suggested, but my problem has really been putting the tags in a table. Anyways, thanks for the help from both of you and hopefully I have a solution now. Thanks again!

You can insert a block in a table. Right click in the cell and select "Insert Block". The block can have attributes.

Try http://www.haroldsfonts.com/frontpage.html and click on "Frank the Architect". I think the demo has circled numbers.

Thanks for all the help, using all the suggestions I've got it all worked out. Thanks again!

Yes and yes -- you can pick your offset distance (as a multiple of the text height), choose circles or rectangles, and constant size or variable (constant goes to the largest of currenly selected objects). I use it a lot for boxing notes -- stuff like grid bubbles and other labels are already blocks.

is the TCIRCLE command not available in AUTOCAD-2004?

i tried using it but it gives a messege;

"Unknown Command TCIRCLE". Press F1 for help

( tried help, but it says no topics found!)

is the command exclusive to 2006 version?

It's an Express Tool, available from the CD as a separate install.
