Inadvertently turned off my file open box

Hey- must have inadvertently turned something off, where now to open any file I must type in the path. How do I fix this so that when I need to open a file it brings up a box? SOS!

Set your FILEDIA variable to 1

0 = Does not display dialog boxes.

1 = Displays dialog boxes.

The setting sometimes gets altered in a computer software crash.

Another setting that gets altered in the same way or at the same time is:
CMDDIA

You may want to check that is set to 1 also...
