Boy, it never stops! I was handed a new job today and told that I will be receiving Claris Cad files. Doing some research I've found out this is a very old and outdated mac cad program. Two problems, the only program I've found to convert the file to a .dxf is a mac program, and I don't have a mac! Does anyone know of a way to convert a Claris Cad file to a Autocad compatible file without a Mac? TIA!

Ouch! Good luck on that one.
Try architosh forums and design community (both are mac CAD forums).

Ask the person supplying the drawings to do the conversion -- it's not an unreasonable request.

I did ask him but he said he couldn't originally, then he told me I could download a program that would convert it but he couldn't remember the name of the program. I did a bunch of research and basically found out that there was a program or two that converted claris cad files but they are no longer available. It seems there is currently no way to convert a claris cad file to dxf or dwg without a mac.

In the end I told him I couldn't find anything to convert the file so he emailed the file to someone else who converted it and then sent it on to me.

Thanks for the help!
