Ok everyone,
With all of the talk going on before about having a section for cad details and blocks I would like to offer (if it alright with CADTutor of course) that I host it on my website under the CAD Corner area (http://mgoodarch.com/CADCorner.htm). I am already hosting numerous Lisp routines and some text files aswell. CADTutor, if you wouldn't mind replying to this and let me know if this is acceptable. I don't want to be stepping on toes! :P If it accepted by CADTutor then I will post some regulations on uploading files.
Hope this works out (I think that it would be helpful for us all!).

Mike, it's entirely up to you - it's your website and if you think it's useful for others, then post a link here.
As you know, I am currently developing a similar service at this website. The way I see it, competition is good for the end user.

Thanks for the reply CADTutor. I just wanted to make sure that it was ok with you because I love this site and just don't want to do anything to get booted of it or anything.
So here is where Everyone else plays a part in this CAD Details and CAD blocks trading.
#1. To upload blocks and details go to this url http://mgoodarch.com/upload.php. I may change the details slightly so that the end user can manipulate the layering system on their own.
#2. To download blocks or details you can go to http://mgoodarch.com/blocks.htm or http://mgoodarch.com/details.htm. Note that these 2 urls have not been created yet but they should be up and running by the end of the weekend.
If anyone has any questions that they would like to ask please feel free to do so in this CADTutor thread.
I hope this all works out so that we can help each other!
Mike

Rich,
My goal is to do the exact opposite as http://cben.net/. I find that they have a huge selection of blocks and details but they are such poor quality that I would never use them. On my site I will on have the highest quality blocks and details that I can find. All of the entities in the drawing file will be set to layer 0 so that when you import them into your drawings they won't bring any unwanted layers with them. It will be up to the end user to place the entities on their desired layers, such that when the user prints the detail the line weights will be to their own ctb file.
