Lasseman Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Dear CAD specialists. I really have problem with paper space and model space. Earlier we made separate DWG only in model space for each drawing but we want to make all in model space and use paper space. I use AutoCAD 2006 I work with firesafetyplan for buildings, we use same drawing for 2 different purpose, serivce=SR and orientation=OR, those symbols are in different Layers. Ofcourse their is other layers also for building and text and so forth. In SR drawing, both SR and OR layer is ON but OR head text is OFF But in OR drawing, OR layer is ON and SR layer is OFF and SR head text is OFF But I can not get this simple thing to work in paper space. When I turn off layer SR in OR Paper Space, all SR symbols disappear also in SR Paper Space. I attached file "Demo_OR_SR.dwg" that has this functionality that I want, But that I do not know how to get this funtion. Also is my problem file attached "Problem_OR_SR.dwg" Problem_OR_SR.dwg Demo_OR_SR.dwg Quote
CyberAngel Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Your title appeared to me as "Lawyers in Paper Space" (it's early here). It sounds like you want to freeze certain layers in certain viewports. You should be able to open the layer manager while you have a viewport open and set the viewport freeze (not general layer freeze) on or off. Quote
danellis Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 You want to freeze the layers in a particular viewport only. It's the third symbol along in your layer drop-down menu 9in order they're off, freeze, freeze-in-viewport, lock, and colour) dJE Quote
Lasseman Posted August 19, 2011 Author Posted August 19, 2011 Thanks for your answers. Well, yes it something like "Lawyers in Paper Space" And it seem to work in paper space to use "the third symbol along in your layer drop-down menu" Quote
