Forgetting about the back ground of the webpage for a minute I need a few opinions as to which format looks better for the webpage that I created. Note that the Beta one isn't quite finished. The Beta website is coded in php and the other just done with frontpage.
#1. www.mgoodarch.com
#2. www.mgoodarch.com/Beta
Any feedback would be great. The background has been touched on before and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it but I just want to know what you think the best format is #1 with the hyperlinks at the top or #2 with the hyperlinks at the left side.
Thanks for all your help everyone!
Mike
P.S. thanks for the tip about php CADTutor!

You may want to look at CoolMenus as well. It is in javascript and is pretty easy to work with.

As to top or side, it is a matter of taste. Both are functional ane user friendly. I guess the side one would be considered a bit more modern, the top traditional. -David

Discrete links such as those on your site tend to look better stacked vertically. The alternative is to have them in a horizontal navbar. It is a little difficult to tell exactly because the background is so distracting.

Note that it's good practice to code your navigation links as a list rather than paragraphs. See here (http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/horizontal03.htm) for example.

You're obviously a very determined person but it may be a little too soon to be selling your services as a web designer

I think your proposed website would benefit from someone with a sales and marketing background taking a look at it. I believe it could use some rewording.
