Dorian
Hi everyone. Does someone know how to render a floor plan from birds perspective with all the lights on(sun, sky, etc) but the roof to be invisible and all the lights would be lighting only the from the inside, Im attaching a sample. f700es
Could you not add small point lights to each room? Would that be too much?

rocneasta
Use daylight system and remove the roof, or simply in object properties uncheck renderable or visible to camera.
spittle
Just add a plane for the ceiling with normals facing down and use backface culling. If you're using mental ray then Arch Design material does this by default if I remember rightly, otherwise it's in the advanced options. standard material has single sided checkbox too if you're using that. you'll probably need to use photons for your lighting setup as well as final gather, with sky portals focussing indirect illumination through the windows.
