A topic came up the other day at work and I was wanting to inquire here with my fellow CADTutor members.
What is the rule for LT Scale settings?
I remember from learning on r9 Dos that the LT Scale should reflect your intended plot scale. So assuming that I print at 1/4" = 1'-0" I would use an LT Scale of 48, right? (Sorry Metric users ;) ).
Does anyone have any other history of LT Scale settings? Of course that would not help if you have different scale vieports on a layout tab then I guess, or would it?

As a side note to that. Don’t for get to check the “PsLtScale” system variable. It toggles paper space linetype scaling. It defaults to 1. 1= “use viewport scale factor” 0= “use model space scale factor”

I prefer the following settings...

LTSCALE=1
PSLTSCALE=1 (See Note below)
CELTSCALE=1

I set PSLTSCALE to 1 because I commonly have several viewports on a layout at different scale factors. If you only have 1 scale factor on a layout you can change this to 0.

We have a rule that the ltscale factor is the inverse of scale. So if our scale is 1:50 (hurray metric users!) then ltscale is 50.
